“On March 13, SUGA traveled to California, USA, to the Los Angeles Crypto.com Arena to see a 2022–2023 NBA regular season game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks. SUGA is renowned for his enthusiasm for basketball. The Golden State Warriors faced the Washington Wizards in a preseason game when Suga was in Japan in September. Suga met with Dallas star Luka Doncic prior to the game and posed for an official picture as he was at the Crypto.com Arena to watch an NBA regular season game. Doncic turned to SUGA after taking the picture and remarked, “It was pleasant meeting you. I’ll see you later.”

Last year SUGA met Stephen Curry among other Warriors NBA players while in Japan.
