“RM’s “Indigo” album breaks record for biggest debut for an Album by a K-Pop soloist in Spotify Global history! It achieved this milestone with 20.667 million filtered streams. All tracks from “Indigo” debuted in top 100 on Spotify. “Indigo was released on December 2, 2022. During their 2022 FESTA Dinner, RM stated that each band member has solo music in the works that they were getting ready to release, and he said he wanted people to get to know the band members, including himself, as distinct individuals, outside of the BTS collective.
Erykah Badu, Anderson.Paak, Tablo of Epik High, Kim Sa-wol, Paul Blanco, Mahalia, Colde, Youjeen of Cherry Filter, and Park Ji-yoon all make appearances on the album’s ten tracks. The ninth song on the album, “Wild Flower,” which Youjeen and I co-wrote, was also made available as the lead single and music video for the album.
