The date has been announced to be December 13 by BTS’ Jin in a Weverse post. Additionally, he asked supporters to avoid visiting him at his training facility because it will be hectic and crowded there, which could endanger the ARMY. He wrote

The K-pop star closed the message by sending his fans a heartfelt “I Love You” message. As the BTS member revealed his date for military induction, ARMYs used Twitter to trend “Take Me Instead.” BTS members will begin enrolling in the Korean military on October 17, BIG HIT MUSIC previously reported, starting with Jin who is the eldest member of the septet. Jin asked to have the deferral in his military enrollment cancelled after his performance with Coldplay in Argentina, when they sang The Astronaut, and as a result, he is now qualified to enlist in the military at any time.

A few days ago, an ARMY enquired about his birthday plans in a post on Weverse. For those who are unaware, BTS’s Jin has a birthday on December 4 and will turn 30 this year. In response, the K-pop star hinted that he would be starting basic training that day and enlisting in the military. The news of Jin’s recruitment was published in Korean media on November 24, but BIG HIT MUSIC declined to confirm the information and asked for supporters’ patience.

Soon after, Jin took to Weverse to confirm the rumors that had been making the rounds in the media. He said that he would be enlisting in the military in December, almost a week after his birthday, and he urged fans not to visit his training facility because it might be dangerous for them.

After this information was confirmed, BTS fans left touching farewell messages to the singer on social media, trending “Take Me Instead,” “We love you Jin,” “Seokjin,” and “1 BTS.”
