“On Monday 24th October, the MAMAs released their list of nominees for the 2022 ceremony. For “MORE” from Jack in the Box, j-hope received six solo nominations, including artist of the year, best male artist, best hip-hop and urban music, and song of the year. He also received a nomination for best collaboration for “Rush Hour” with Crush, which was also nominated for song of the year. Both V and Jimin received solo nominations for their performances of “Christmas Tree” (from Our Beloved Summer) and “With You,” which they co-wrote with Ha Sung-woon (Our Blues).

At the 2022 Mnet Asian Music Accolades, BTS is nominated for a number of fan-voted awards. The nominations for this year, as well as the criterion for winners, were released by MAMA on October 29. For “Best Dance Performance Male Group,” BTS’ “Dynamite” is up for consideration. The “Song of the Year” category has more than forty songs up for consideration, including “Dynamite” by BTS. Both “Song of the Year” and “Best Duet” nominations are made for IU and Suga’s collaboration, “eight.” A nominee needs 40% from the judge panel, 30% from digital song sales, 20% from official voting, and 10% from physical album sales to win “Song of the Year.” BTS is also up for “Artist of the Year” and “Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10”. The winning nominee must receive 30% of the official votes, 30% of the judge panel votes, 20% of physical album sales, and 20% of digital song sales in order to win “Artist of the Year.” The “Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10” winner will receive 60% official votes, 20% views from around the world on music videos, and 20% votes from social media. “Album of the Year” is not a fan-voted category and the nominees have not yet been announced. MAMA will take place on December 6 at 6 PM (KST).

The 2022 MAMA Awards are set to take place in Japan at the Osaka Kyocera Dome Nov. 29-30. Fans can vote for who they want to win the worldwide fans’ choice top 10 on the MAMA website. Voting ends Nov. 4 at 10:59 a.m. ET (11:59 p.m. KT).
