The song was released on 20th November 2022 ahead of his performance at the opening ceremony for the 2022 FIFA World Cup being held in Qatar. “Dreamers” is till trending with over 1.7 million tweets, over 24 hours since Jung Kook performed the song. Jungkook is the first Korean singer not only to release a FIFA World Cup song, but also to take the stage solo at an opening ceremony outside of Korea. Jungkook sang the song with singer Fahad Al Kubaisi during the opening ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
