BTS’ V Shares That He’s Now Able To Separate The Artist On Stage (V) From The Him At Home (Kim Tae-hyung)

“BTS have started sharing snippets of works as they prepare for their upcoming album. In a series titled, “Proof of Inspiration.” The series is going to be BTS members individually talking about the songs they chose for the anthology album and also a bit about themselves & what has changed for them. The series is part of their scedule for the release of their album “Proof”. V Shares the the songs that inspire him which will be featured in their anthology album “Proof”. He states that he chose “Singularity” and “00:00 Zero O’clock” And he also shares that he is now able to distinguish him being an artist in stage as “V” and him being at home as “Taehyung”. V spoke and said,

I chose “Singularity” and “00:00 (Zero O’Clock)” for this album, Proof. Because I was thinking ahead for the accompanying performance, “Singularity” ended up being a song completely full of syllables with no white space. If there wasn’t going to be a performance, it would have ended up a completely different song. I tended to think of Kim Taehyung, and artist V as being separate, and thought that I had to choose one or the other, as visually portrayed in the “Singularity” music video. That was when I thought hard about who I was as a person, and I felt a bit confused. Artist V performs on stage, and enjoys himself with ARMY, but Kim Taehyung spends ordinary days with family and friends. Now I’m able to accept both sides of myself, but also keep them separate. I’ve lessened the burden of thinking so much, too, just like how the day resets at midnight. But I think all this time I spent pondering is the Proof that made me into who I am today” V
