“The Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) has announced the 2022 full list of nominees! BTS have received 7 nominations at this year’s award show. In 2021, BTS received four nominations and won all four of them. This makes them the most nominated group at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. For the fourth consecutive year, BTS is nominated for the “Top Duo/Group” award, that they have won in 2019 and 2021.
BTS is also nominated for “Top Song Sales Artist” and “Top Selling Song” (for “Butter” and “Permission to Dance“), they won these two awards in 2021 as well. They have received two new nominations in 2022 which are “Top Billboard Global Artist (Excluding U.S.)” and “Top Billboard Global Song (Excluding U.S.)” for with their song “Butter”.
They also are in the running for the “Top Rock Song” award for their collaboration on “My Universe,” which they collaborated with Coldplay.
The 2022 BBMAs will broadcast live from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 15 at 8 p.m. ET. Check BTS is also once again in the running for Top Song Sales Artist and Top Selling Song (for both “Butter” and “Permission to Dance“), two other awards the group snagged in 2021.
