“GRAMMY winner Jazz artist Jon Batiste got his wish of interacting with BTS’ Kim Taehyung aka V. A few weeks back on 24th February, the recording academy had asked which interaction were fans expecting at the GRAMMYs and a fan said that he would love to see Jon Batiste meet with V. Batiste retweeted the fan’s tweet and expressed his desire to meet the BTS’ vocalist.
He was also on a liking spree of tweets related to V leaving comments as well and he even spoke about liking V and hoping to see/meet him at the GRAMMYs during an online interview
The recording Academy even promised to share pictures if that meeting between Batiste and V happened.
Well two wishes were granted, Batiste got to meet BTS and the fan who wrote the tweet and every other fan of the two artists got their wish fulfilled as pictures of Batiste and V meeting, hugging and taking pictures was shared by BuzzFeed and other media.
Batiste also performed at the GRAMMY, he was the most nominated artist with 11 nods and won took home the majority of his five awards which included “Album of the Year” Batiste is the first Black artist to win album of the year since 2008, when Herbie Hancock won for his project River: The Joni Letters.
